Corner Radius Carbide End Mill NRN (standard length) is a corner radius end mill series used for roughing, general purpose milling and high feed work. A carbide body allows a higher cutting speed and a longer tool life than an HSS tool.

Is D1 or D2 the relevant dimension when ordering?
Both are considered together. D1 is the cutting diameter and sets the width of the slot to be cut. D2 is the shank diameter and states what the holder or collet has to grip. On small diameter cutters the shank is usually thicker than the cutting diameter, so the row whose D2 matches the available collet is chosen.
Is this 4 flute tool suitable for full slotting?
On a 4 flute tool the chip gullet is narrow; in full slotting (ae = D1) the gullet can pack and break the tool. A 2–3 flute tool or a trochoidal strategy (ae ≤ 0.1 × D) is preferred for full slots.
